Liberals, what could the Dems do with the health care bill that would increase your disappointment with them?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cat health care

What a bunch of spineless douchebags.
Quite a gimme to the insurance companies.
And the right wing nuts are still saying we’re on the path to communism/ doom/ destruction/ cats & dogs, living together.

Mebbe the morons who are more worried about "American Idol" than Congress are smarter than we think….

Rational thought and crackpot theories now being accepted.

Both parties are appalling. Neither of them is representing the Americans; only themselves.

what are some first time easy care cats.?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cat health care

I live in an apartment. i have never owned a cat before i want a cat with low health problems, easy care, not very talkative and a calm sweet personality. and for the people who read my last question, i meant LOW health problems not NO health problems

Hi, welcome to the cat’s world. The simple 101 for cat care especially in health.

Get a cat at a shelter, like your city shelter, or SPCA. Cat in this place are fixed, given shots, and well taken care off… true it is a shelter so no guarantee, but here is San Francisco.. people are told to use the anti bacteria soap.
Now for a healthy cat, make sure it get’s a health check yearly, fed correctly and not over fed. Also playtime is needed…

Now no one can guarantee a talkative cat. Cat talk when they are happy, they talk when they are sick… there is a book called cat for dummies, the best book to read

According to this article only 31% feel Obama has explained his health care reform plans. What do you think?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cat health care

Is he always vague or is it just me? 60% claim he has not explained the plans. http://kstp.com/news/stories/S1127740.shtml?cat=1
By the way the article is so short (like 30 sec) you should just read it.

Whatever this guy has in and on his mind, in order the put this Plan of his into action, he will have to create an enormous staff to start a census!! HE doesn’t know how many people are living in this country, so THAT must come first!!! Then, he is going to have to weed out all the people who are NOT eligible for healthcare! The so-called visitors and the illegals. He will have to tally the tax-payers, and the non-taxpapers. He will have to go digging up the homeless throughout the country - they are people too!! THAT should keep him busy for a few months, maybe years!!! He will have to issue ID cards for every living person, probably color coded so, when this Plan finally gets off the ground, doctors will know just how much medical aid he is supposed to with the person according to the individuals financial status!! Then he is going to assess how many doctors and nurses there are going to be, in each and every State. If he had enough Czars, they could probably do that job for him! Then, he is going to have to appoint a panel of individuals who will monitor medical cases who require surgey and other procedures! They won’t need to be doctors, cos they will be working off a cheat sheet! There will be NO protests on their decisions. Their word will be final, but, I am getting ahead of myself! NONE of what I have just said, has been brought up by the People to Obama and his Administration! Has anyone ever asked him, what would be his first step to put this plan into being? Has HE ever thought about any of this? All I understand about this plan of his, it will take time, money and people, to do it right, and so far, nobody, who has ever tried to get a National Health Plan in this country, has succeeded!

Should President Obama ask Cal Wothington to try and sell the National Health Care plan to the American public?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cat health care

That cat can sell anything, and if you have a question, go see Cal!
Memo to Jen: Cal is still very much alive, and still willing to do anything to make a buck!

He could come out riding the back of his dog Spot and tell us all that if we don’t like it, he’ll eat a bug.

Tell something about Cat care?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cat health care

Hi friends tell me how to take care of cat if it had the diseases… And also mention some tips to make them health… Tell me the websites and books to take care of cat…

Generally females are cautious, gentle, and quiet but unless you have your cat spayed, you will have to contend with heat cycles. Males are larger and more outgoing, though unneutered males tend to spray urine to mark their territory, roam, and are prone to fights with other cats. Long-haired cats are glamorous, but it will be someone’s job to keep it that way. Long-haired cats shed a great deal and tend to get hairballs more frequently.

How much does it cost to take care of a cat?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cat health care

Considering that it would be in good health. I want to know how much people spend on their cats a year. Including vet bills, food, litter box, etc.

Vet emergencies would take up a lot–put $500 aside for each year and you’ll feel better, or have a credit card just for the emergencies.

Food for 2 cats and litter—we go through 1 bag of 25lb clay litter a month. Walmart has it for $2.79. I buy canned now that the older one reached 19 and isn’t big on dry food anymore, but a bag of dry Royal Canin Siamese 38 is $11 and feeds a cat for one month. The canned foods, we’re going through one 13oz can a day between the two of them. Factor that out with the brand you like to find out the monthly costs.

There’s the annual checkup and shots $35 here for the exam, $15 for the yearly rabies shot, $18 for the 3 year distemper shot.

But in the past 5 years we’ve had 2 ear infections, a broken tooth, teeth cleanings with several bad teeth removed, a pancreatitis attack, an abscess that was so deep in it required surgery, a UTI, an upper respiratory that needed two types of antibiotics, and one surgery for a small tumor on the foot that interfered with walking. Then there’s the $35 worth of meds a month for the hyperthroid cat. She’ll be on those the rest of her life.

What’s the best way to care for sick old cat?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: cat health care

My cat is around 15 years old and showing signs of declining health. He has a heart murmur and abnormal thyroid hormone numbers. Other than that, he can still walk slowly up the stairs, eats and drinks normally. How can I prolong this cat’s life so he is as healthy as possible?

Many senior cats like warm blankets to lay on because it helps their aging joints. You can use an electric blanket (not set too high, and make sure to monitor it!) or even throw a small blanket into the dryer for a few minutes and then let your cat lay on it.

I understand you wanting to prolong your cat’s healthy life. =) He’s eating and drinking, he gets himself around, and acts like himself. That’s the important thing. Please don’t listen to the people telling you to put him down–it sounds like he still has some love left to give!

If he were my cat, I’d take him to the vet every 6-8 months for a full blood panel. This might seem like a lot, but you want to be sure everything is functioning correctly for him. Kidney failure is very, very common in housecats, especially older ones. [My girl has had chronic renal failure for over a year, and she's only 10.] Getting blood panels done will let you and your vet keep his kidney values, thyroid hormone numbers, oxygen levels, and etc in check.

Someday too soon you’ll have to say goodbye, but you might have another three or four years left with him. I’m glad you want to keep him as long and healthy as possible. You don’t need to put your kitty to sleep until he’s in pain and isn’t living a good life. You’ll know when that time comes.

Best of luck to you and your boy from me and my girl. =)
